Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies used on this website, handshake.fi. For how we handle personal data more generally, see our Privacy Policy.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in much the same way. They let a site remember actions and preferences, and help owners understand how the site is used.

How we use them

We use a single analytics tool, Google Analytics 4, and only after you consent. We manage our tags through Google Tag Manager, which does not itself store cookies. Until you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics runs in a consent-denied, cookieless mode and does not store the _ga cookies described below. We do not use advertising or marketing cookies.

Your choices

You set your preferences in the cookie banner when you first visit. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Necessary storage is always on; analytics is optional.

Preferences and Marketing

The cookie banner also lists "Preferences" and "Marketing" categories. We do not currently use any cookies in these categories — selecting them today sets no cookies. They are included so your choice is recorded should we add such tools in the future, in which case this policy will be updated first.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so will not affect the necessary functioning of this site, since we set non-essential cookies only with your consent.
