This Privacy Policy explains how Handshake Group Oy ("Handshake", "we", "us") processes personal data in connection with this website, handshake.fi. Shopping in our online stores (Valostore, Autodude, Motivon) is governed by the privacy policy of the relevant store.

2. What personal data we process

This is a marketing website and we keep data collection to a minimum.

Analytics data (only with your consent): collected via Google Analytics 4 — pages visited, time on the site, approximate location (country/city level), device and browser type, the source that referred you, and online identifiers such as cookie IDs. Your IP address is used by Google to derive approximate location and is not stored by Google Analytics 4.
Consent data: your cookie choices are stored locally in your browser (localStorage key cookieConsent) and contain only which categories you allowed.
Contact data: if you email or call one of our offices, we process the contact details and message content you choose to provide.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies only as described in our Cookie Policy. Non-essential (analytics) cookies are set only after you give consent, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer.

5. Who we share data with

Google (Google Ireland Limited; Google LLC) — provides Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager as our processor.
GitLab — hosts the website.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International transfers

Google may process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep data

Analytics data in Google Analytics 4: retained for the period configured in our Google Analytics account (up to 14 months).
The _ga cookie: up to 2 years (see the Cookie Policy).
Enquiry correspondence: only as long as needed to handle your matter.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@handshake.fi.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Finnish supervisory authority: the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (Tietosuojavaltuutetun toimisto), tietosuoja.fi.
